On Tuesday April 5th the first edition of the Life Science event will take place in Corpus Congress Centre in Leiden. We are looking forward to an inspiring day with a seminar program based on three main themes: cell biology, Next Gen Sequencing and innovative developments in DNA technologies. The event also offers the opportunity to meet other professionals and to get acquainted with the innovations of our exhibitors. A visit to the Life Science event is free of charge and you can register via the website.
Anne Rios, principal investigator at the Princess Máxima Centre, will open the day with a lecture on BEHAV3D, a dynamic immune-organoid 3D imaging platform that makes it possible to model and predict the mode of action of cellular immunotherapy. Ed Schuuring, professor of Molecular Oncological Pathology and Clinical Molecular Biologist in Pathology at the UMCG, talks about developments in Next Gen Sequencing and Whole Genome Sequencing. Verena Schwach, UT-researcher at the Department of Applied Stem Cell Technology, is researching better, tailor-made treatment methods to combat cardiac arrhythmias. During the event she will provide more insight into the latest developments of her research, that includes the development of a heart-on-chip. This is just a selection of the program, read more about our other speakers and the topics they will discuss.
