Yannick Hajee joined the Diba Lab at the Department of Dentistry-Regenerative Biomaterials of Radboudumc as part of the BoneChipPredict project last July. Yannick has obtained a BSc degree in Chemistry and a MSc in Chemistry (bio- & nano-materials) from Uppsala University (Sweden). His PhD project focuses on the design of viscoelastic matrices for bone-on-chip systems.
Yannick’s project involves collaboration with the Mooney Lab at Harvard University. Last winter, he completed a three-month research stay at the Mooney Lab. This collaborative research builds on the groups’ recent joint findings regarding the impact of matrix viscoelasticity on the migration and fusion of mesenchymal stem cell spheroids.
