Symposium Animal-Free Innovations in Science
The Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and hDMT partner Amsterdam UMC organize a symposium on 25 November 2019 about Animal-Free Innovations in Science. The goal is to bring together scientists from different disciplines in an open and constructive setting to discuss the challenges in animal-free innovations in fundamental and translational research.
The symposium focuses on innovations in animal-free methods including in vitro (cell culture) and in silico (computational) approaches. The unique advantages of utilising human-derived cells, including induced pluripotent stem cells, organoids and multi-organ chip devices will be addressed.
