International MicroNanoConference 2017
The International MicroNanoConference (iMNC) will be held in the Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam on 12 and 13 December 2017.
hDMT is represented in the program committee (chair: Albert van den Berg ).
Organ-on-chip sessions and a hands-on organ-on-chip workshop will be organized in collaboration with hDMT.
MNBS workshop at MicroNanoConference
The Annual Concertation and Consultation Workshop on Micro-Nano-Bio Systems (the MNBS cluster) will be hosted and co-organized by the iMNC 2017 in collaboration with the European Commission. The workshop will be co-located with the iMNC 2017 at the Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam and is also open for visitors of the iMNC and vice versa.
The workshop focuses on the translation of newly developed technologies into competitive, validated and manufacturable products for citizen's life and industry. Researchers from the EU-funded Research & Innovation MNBS projects will present their activities and share their vision on how to bring technologies and innovations to the market place and end-users. There will also be a session about new European calls. This workshop will attract a great number of researchers from different EU countries to the conference.
The Acceleration of Organ-on-Chip Technology: An Insight in the Latest Developments at the iMNC 2017
In three parallel sessions with a number of lectures each, the
International MicroNanoConference 2017 will give an important
insight in the latest Organ-on-Chip developments from both an
academic and industrial point of view. In the closing keynote
Wednesday 13 December, Lorna Ewart of AstraZeneca will stress the
urgency for improved human relevant in-vitro models. Peter Loskill
- Fraunhofer IGB and also a partner in ORCHID - and Ashutosh
Agarwal - University of Miami - will participate as invited
Attendees who want to know more about the current possibilities can join the Organ-on-Chip workshop Tuesday 12 December, organized by hDMT, Micronit, Fluigent and Confocal. The focus in this workshop will be on Gut-on-Chip (WUR and TNO) and 3D Vessels-on-Chip (LUMC, UTwente). Participation in the workshop and one-on-one discussions with the experts is open for everyone.
