The 11th World Congress on Alternatives and Animal Use in the Life Sciences - WCA11

The WCA11 brings together close to 1500 professionals, including researchers, veterinarians, animal welfare organizations, public representatives, members of institutional animal care and use/ethics committees, and regulatory experts from more than 50 countries further progressing the latest in 3R research en novel developments (Refinement, Replacement and Reduction) to applications.
The Local Organizing Committee cordially invites you to the 11th World Congress on Alternatives and Animal Use in the Life Sciences (WC11) in Maastricht in the Netherlands on 23-27 August 2020. The conference is hosted by Maastricht University at the Maastricht Exhibition & Congress Centre (MECC). Please visit the congress website www.wc11maastricht.org for the latest updates.
The theme of the congress is '3Rs in transition: from development to application', emphasizing the increasing focus on the use of better, more human-relevant models for personalized and preventive health care, safer products and innovative research. This is illustrated in the congress logo by the human face. Four main themes will be addressed:

- Ethics and Welfare
hDMT is co-chair of the congress and participates in the communication committee and scientific committee.
We would very much appreciate if you can share your proposals for topics and speakers as well as other ideas. They will all contribute to an excellent scientific program and a good atmosphere for networking in Maastricht, the heart of Europe.
