Swiss Sweat Science and Technology Symposium (3STS)
7 June, 2022 - 8 June, 2022
The Swiss Sweat Science and Technology Symposium (3STS) is the first international symposium for researchers in human sweat physiology, sweat sensing technologies and applications in athletic performance and biomedicine.
This symposium will feature several keynote speakers who are experts in the different areas of sweat physiology, health and state of the art wearable technology. It will also feature experts in advanced signal processing techniques for sweat sensing devices.
3STS aims to provide an interdisciplinary platform to support a dialogue between exercise physiologists, physicians and engineers and to facilitate possible collaboration between the different groups. In this 2 day long symposium, we also encourage interested attendees to contribute to the poster session and to demonstration platforms.
Dr. med Mathieu Saubade, CHUV, Lausanne
Dr. Danick Briand, EPFL, Neuchâtel
Dr. Cecilia Jimenez, IMB-CNM, Barcelona
Prof. Shih-Chii Liu, University of Zurich & ETH Zurich
This symposium is organized in the frame of the WeCare Project, Cognitive-Multisensing Wearable Sweat Biomonitoring Technology for Real-Time Personalized Diagnosis and Preventive Health Care granted by the Swiss National Science Foundation (Sinergia program). See the website of the project: WeCare Project
WeCare aims to develop a new generation of non-invasive wearable biomonitoring devices for personalized diagnosis and preventive health care. These devices will for the first time, provide continuous monitoring of individuals in natural environments and therefore allowing new studies of how the dynamically changing biomarker concentrations in sweat can be correlated with the physiological state of individuals.
More information on registration and program see the event website.
