Flemish first Life-on-Chip Conference great succes
The first edition of the two-day conference 'Life-on-Chip - The Road from Idea to Reality' in the Provincial House in Leuven was attended by more than 140 international participants, speakers and exhibitors. The participants were all players from the Health/Life Sciences and micro- and nanotechnology sectors.
During the conference Janny van den Eijnden - van Raaij, managing director of hDMT, was invited to present the Dutch hDMT approach to unite the Organ-on-Chip research & development and collaborate to bring this field forward.
Pioneers work on our health of tomorrow: new and better medicines, prostheses, techniques, treatments tailored to the individual patient. To achieve breakthroughs, there must be more cross-fertilization. Not only between the various disciplines within the major field of Health/Life Sciences, but also between Health/Life Sciences and micro- and nanotechnology.
With the 'Life-on-Chip' conference, Smart Hub Vlaams-Brabant encouraged these pioneers to cooperate more via networking, a symposium with more than twenty speakers and matchmaking (E.E.N./B2Match).
Because of the great success of this first edition and in order to continue to stimulate cross-fertilization, Smart Hub Flemish Brabant will organize (in collaboration with its partners) more of these conferences in the coming years.
The Life-on-Chip conference is part of a Flemish-wide ERDF project of which the province is the driving force. Partners are flanders.bio, DSP Valley and Leuven MindGate and it is supported by the RegMed community and Flanders Investment & Trade.
