In the Dutch newspaper NRC, chair of hDMT and Professor of Developmental Biology Christine Mummery tells about miniature hearts, made of stem cells and microchips, for research into heart failure and other diseases. Additional advantages of such a miniature organ: less animal testing and cheaper medicines.
