The Health.E lighthouse started!

Thursday, 24 October 2019

Health.E aims to accelerate innovation in medical devices and systems by stimulating the development of open technology platforms and standards, thereby moving away from the inflexible and costly point solutions that presently dominate electronic medical device manufacturing. Open technology platforms, supported by roadmaps, will generate the production volumes needed for sustained technology development, resulting in new and better solutions in the healthcare domain.

Health.E will:

- Create awareness in the Electronics Components and Systems (ECS) industry of the emerging opportunities in the medical domain like Organ-on-Chip;
- Identify gaps in the strategic research agendas;
- Stimulate initiatives towards the adoption of open technology platforms;
- Disseminate results to stakeholders and the general public.

The lighthouses are an initiative if the ECSEL public-private partnership Joint Undertaking.

Representatives of industry associations, RTO's and academia take part in the Health.E lighthouse and the supporting HELoS CSA.

It is coordinated by Massimo Mastrangeli, Mart Graef, Ronald Dekker and Anna Gralka from TUDelft.
