11th World Congress on Alternatives and Animal Use in the Life Science postponed

Friday, 8 May

Due to the global COVID-19 developments, the WC11 organization decided to postpone the 11th World Congress on Alternatives and Animal Use in the Life Science to August 22-26, 2021. The venue of the congress will remain the MECC Maastricht in the Netherlands.

This decision also reflects public health concerns, and acknowledges the restrictions now in place, especially for international travel. The risk of bringing together a large group of professionals is currently difficult to justify and could jeopardize the continuity of science and care.

Up to now a wealth of time and effort has been invested in the congress by members, speakers and the congress organization, which will be carried over to the new date. The WC11 organization is certain that also on the new date it will be an outstanding event as the World Congresses have been a very important event for the field of the 3Rs.

Check the website regularly for updated information about the postponement, new deadlines and other important information.
