Eindhoven University of Technology develops microsystems for organ research.

Organs-on-chip can help to study disease processes and are probably a better model than test animals or cultured cells in a petri dish. Professor Jaap den Toonder of Eindhoven University of Technology develops such organs-on-chip in his special Microfab/lab: "Our results explain what clinicians see among patients."
