Annual hDMT Consortium meeting 2023

The annual hDMT Consortium meeting on December 1st 2023, chaired by Nathalie Bravenboer (Amsterdam University Medical Center) was again a great success. This year about 220 hDMT researchers registered for this event that was held in the Studio33 conference room in Amersfoort. After a welcome by Christine Mummery, chair of hDMT, senior scientists gave interesting lectures about several topics, including the use of biodegradable membranes in Organ-on-Chip, the power and limitations of adult stem cells, analytical methods for drug research, the training center Skeletal Muscle-on-Chip, and the challenges and opportunities that will be addressed in the new hDMT Lung-on-Chip group. Young talents presented their latest results in high quality presentations with research highlights on different Organ-on-Chip models. New this year was the poster session with 42 posters, and the poster pitches. As usual Janny van den Eijnden-van Raaij, managing director of hDMT, informed the Consortium about the perspective of hDMT for the future.
